Izoplast Hydrolastic is a two–component polymer-cement elastic waterproofing membrane.
Instructions for use:
The surface must be clean, smooth, firm, free of any anti-adhesive substances such as dust, oil, dirt, rust, mold and detergents.
If there are stratifications, separable and weak parts in the concrete, they must be removed. If there is a crack or a cavity on the floor or wall that needs to be waterproofing, it should be repaired with appropriate repair solutions. Make sure that the slab or concrete has a slope for proper drainage.
Before applying the material, the surface must be moistened. To remove dust from the surface and increase adhesion, use Izoplast E Nano Power primer solution. The corners and abutments of the floor-wall should be beveled with a repair solution.
The powder component should be thoroughly mixed so that no lumps remain, then gradually add the liquid component to mix with a low-speed mixer. In order for the solution to ripen, after mixing, you need to leave it for 5 minutes, and then mix again for 1-2 minutes before applying.
If necessary, to obtain a solution of a more liquid consistency, water can be added to the solution in an amount of up to 4%.
The prepared solution should be applied in 2-3 layers using a roller, brush, or maklovitsa. The recommended thickness of one layer is from 2 mm. Apply each subsequent layer after the previous one has completely dried and perpendicular to each other.
The working time of the mixture is about 1 hour. The surface becomes waterproof after the product is completely cured. Work with this material should be carried out at ambient temperatures from 5 ° C to 35 ° C in the absence of strong wind and precipitation. The applied material should be protected from direct sunlight and precipitation.
The surface will be ready for finishing with tile materials in 72 hours. The cured material is resistant to low temperatures up to -20°C.
Application Notes / Restrictions:
Observe the safety and health regulations during the work.
Take precautions. Use protective gloves, clothing, glasses. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
