Chemical scientists are struggling with the urgent need to strengthen concrete: they are looking for new solutions in the production of materials in the field of building chemistry, conduct research and derive formulas with effective solutions.
So how to strengthen concrete surfaces?
We present you two new products from the Turkish manufacturer Tekno in the field of construction chemicals:
- Teknoser Sodyum – impregnation for concrete based on sodium silicate
- Teknoser Lityum - impregnation for concrete based on lithium silicate
- The crystals of the material penetrate into the pores of concrete to a depth of 20 mm, which increases the strength of concrete coatings and prolongs their wear resistance for tens or even hundreds of years.
- It is recommended to spray the material evenly in one layer, filling the pores of the surface. The material is very economical in operation: one liter of impregnation will be enough for 6-20 m2, depending on the porosity and surface quality.
- The material does not require a finishing coating, as it gives the surface a beautiful well-groomed appearance with a glossy sheen.
What is the difference between Teknoser Sodyum and Teknoser Lityum?
The impregnation based on sodium silicate Teknoser Sodyum is more viscous, unlike the material based on lithium silicate Teknoser Lityum. Accordingly, Teknoser Lityum penetrates deeper into the pores of the concrete surface, and makes it more wear-resistant.
Therefore, if you choose an impregnation for a room with an average intensity of use, it will be enough to apply Teknoser Sodyum to the surface, but if with a high one, Teknoser Lityum is better suited.
Of course, it is better to leave the choice of impregnation for the surface to a professional.
