Needle punched geotextile

Needle–punched geotextile is a non-woven fabric consisting of polyester, manufactured by the needle-punched method during heat treatment

Application of needle-punched geotextile:

  • noise absorption
  • thermal insulation of pipes
  • ensuring the tightness of the roof and foundation
  • drainage
  • in hydraulic engineering, in the construction of dams and the bottom of artificial reservoirs
  • strengthening of soils, slopes, banks
  • laying of the roadbed and the "green roof"
  • in the manufacture of furniture
  • when sewing clothes
  • as a package

Advantages of needle-punched geotextile:

  • eco-friendly
  • resistant to tears and sprains
  • uv resistant
  • performs the function of drainage and fixation
  • unique hydraulic properties
  • wear resistance
  • homogeneity of the material
  • no stratification (fibers are bonded in all three dimensions)
  • does not change its properties in contact with chemicals
  • resistant to aggressive environment and moisture, chemically inactive, resistant to mold, fungi and harmful organisms, not edible for rodents
  • the use of geotextiles significantly reduces the cost of building materials and landscaping
  • non-rotting, non-toxic, anti-allergenic
  • working with the material does not require additional precautions

Geotextile functions:

  • Separation - strong, durable and flexible geotextile is used to separate layers of soil with different fractions, geotextile prevents the movement and displacement of materials, this leads to the stabilization of the base.
  • Filtration - prevents the leaching of soil particles, the pore size allows solid particles to be stopped, and the water flow is left free, while the pressure loss is minimal.
  • Drainage - for faster drainage of water along the web along a given trajectory, this allows you to cripple the service life of drainage layers.
  • Protection - geotextile protects waterproof membranes from ruptures if excessive pressure is exerted on them, resists stretching, slows down soil erosion and preserves the integrity of waterproofing, film and other layers in the soil.
  • Reinforcement - geotextile strengthens slopes due to its mechanical properties, preventing the collapse and crumbling of the surface of vertical earthen ramparts and steep slopes.
