How to take measurements from a toilet lid
1. Convenience: The toilet seat should be comfortable.
2. Safety: Make sure the seat edges are smooth and there are no cracks or chips.
3. Hygiene: The seat material is important for hygiene. For example, a duroplast with the addition of silver ions makes the seat antibacterial.
4. Durability: The seat material and fasteners must be strong and reliable.
5. Aesthetics: The design and color of the seat should match the style of your bathroom.
6. Material: Seat material and fasteners affect its service life and comfort.
7. Shape and size: The seat should follow the shape of the toilet bowl and slightly protrude beyond its edges.
To choose the right toilet seat, measure the toilet bowl:
- Remove the old seat.
- Measure three parameters:
- the distance between the centers of the mounting holes.
- the distance from the center of the mounting hole to the edge of the toilet.
- the width of the toilet bowl from the left to the right edge.
- The seat should not be exactly the same size as the top of the toilet bowl, it should protrude slightly over the edges.
- Also pay attention to the material, color, functionality and quality of the seat, as this affects its durability. We also recommend watching a video about choosing a toilet seat by size.
