Which ladder to choose linear or point
Choosing the right shower ladder is just as important as choosing the right materials for repairs. All ladders are usually divided into 2 types: linear and point, but some distinguish angular ladders. In this article we will tell you about each of the types and help you choose a ladder.
What is a linear ladderA linear ladder is the simplest type of ladder from the point of view of installation, which has the form of a long rectangle.
Such a ladder is most often installed along the walls, and less often – in the center of the shower. It is linear ladders that are usually used for large areas, because their throughput is high enough, that is, they can discharge a larger volume of liquid into the sewer in 1 second.
As for the inclination of the floor, it is necessary to do it in the direction of the side where the linear ladder is installed.
What is a point ladderA point ladder is a type of compact ladder that is usually installed in the center of the shower and less often on the side.
Such a ladder is not designed for large areas, because its capacity is not too high. The point ladder can be round, oval and square in shape. There are also triangular point ladders, but they are installed in the corner of the shower only of a small size. Some distinguish them as a separate subgroup and call them corner wall ladders.
As for the slope of the floor when installing a point ladder, it should be the same on all four sides.
By the way, when installing a bathroom, spot ladders are also used, but as insurance in case water begins to overflow over the top of the bowl. They are installed under the bathroom itself, so you may not know about them at all.
