How to make a usable roof on adjustable supports
A promising trend in the modern construction industry is the use of building roofs as useful exploited areas. For example, the arrangement of terraces, where roof sections equipped with an additional coating act as a floor, is becoming particularly popular. But the disadvantage of this solution is the large weight of such a structure, the floor covering at an uncomfortable angle, as well as difficulties in laying and repairing various communications (engineering networks, pipelines).
But technologies do not stand still and in order to make the process of arrangement and operation of roof terraces much easier and faster, innovative adjustable Karoapp supports have been created.
The Karoap p adjustable support system is a set of accessories aimed at effectively solving the arrangement of terraces on all kinds of coatings (waterproofing, hard insulation, soil, concrete).
If we talk about the advantages of Karoapp supports directly in the arrangement of the exploited roof, it is necessary to highlight several main points.
- Firstly, the installation of adjustable Karoapp supports does not require attachment to the base, which eliminates the possibility of damage to the waterproofing layer of the roof. Also, due to the features of their design, they evenly distribute the load throughout the waterproofing layer and are able to withstand a load on one support up to 900 kg.
- Secondly, thanks to the tilt corrector up to 7%, Karoapp supports compensate for the slope for water drainage, which is necessarily present on every flat roof and thereby ensure a strictly horizontal position of the surface.
In the hollow space between the roof surface and the finish coating, it is possible to place all kinds of communications, with easy and quick access to them, and free ventilation will not allow harmful microflora to develop in this area.
Since the finish coating is laid with small gaps for water drainage, this greatly simplifies surface cleaning (just rinse with water from a hose), and it also contributes to the rapid drying of the terrace surface. Water, falling on the terrace covering, flows freely down to the waterproofing layer and is then removed by means of a drain into the general sewer system.
Karoapp adjustable supports are designed on the principle of a screw jack, which allows you to raise the coating plane to any required height in the range from 18 to 1083 mm, providing smooth adjustment of the coating level with an accuracy of 1 mm.
A fairly simple and accurate adjustment method by rotating the corrector 360 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise ensures quick installation.
After determining the required height, a special ring must be put on the Karoapp support to fix the adjustment, which eliminates subsequent rotation caused by all kinds of loads.
