Bentonite cord for sealing seams
Bentonite cord is used for waterproofing the places of entry and passage of communications and ensuring the waterproofness of working seams in building structures.
This inexpensive and easy-to-install material will prevent moisture from entering the structure, thereby extending its service life.
Upon contact with water, bentonite clay, which is part of the cord, increases significantly in volume, forming a gel-like mass.
The resulting mass in a closed space is compacted up to three times, sealing the hole, even in the presence of cracks and porous places in the concrete.
Our company produces bentonite Hydrostop cord of various cross-sections for use in various configurations and in various nodal solutions.
Bentonite cord with a cross section of 15x25 is ideal for sealing cold joints of concreting interruptions. To achieve complete sealing and isolation from moisture, the cord is mounted in the joints of foundations and walls with dowels in increments of 25-30 cm, in order to avoid displacement and more reliable fixation during concrete pouring. The connection points of the cord should be fixed by splitting the ends and connecting them together.
A round bentonite cord is used to seal holes from tie screws. After removing the formwork and removing the coupling screw, the hole is sealed with a bentonite cord with mandatory subsequent caulking with non-shrink thixotropic repair mixtures, inlet and outlet openings.
Excellent technological performance and an easy installation method make it possible to use the product as a waterproofing material for joints in the construction of parking lots and hydraulic structures.
