Pool waterproofing materials
One of the main stages in the construction of a swimming pool is its waterproofing. The durability of the use of the structure depends on how well and with what materials this work will be done.
Waterproofing works are recommended to be performed both from the outside and from the inside of the pool bowl, thus protecting the structure as much as possible for many years from the effects of groundwater, acids, alkalis.
Let's start with the materials that are used for waterproofing the pool bowl from the inside.Teknomer 100 is a penetrating waterproofing (up to 300 mm), increases the resistance to water absorption and the resistance of concrete to low temperatures.
Packaging – craft bag 20 kg.
Material consumption – up to 1.3 kg per m2 in one layer.
- Teknomer 200EX is a two–component elastic waterproofing based on special cements, mineral fillers, additives and polymer emulsion. Forms an elastic coating that protects the surface from water penetration and has high adhesion to most building surfaces: concrete, stone, brick, concrete blocks. 3 days after applying waterproofing, you can start lining the pool bowl with tiles.
Packaging – a set of 35 kg. (craft bag 25 kg metal container 10 kg.)
Consumption – up to 1.5 kg per m2 in one layer.
- Teknomer 200EX Blue is a two–component elastic waterproofing of blue color based on special cements, mineral fillers, additives and polymer emulsion. Forms an elastic coating that protects the surface from water penetration and has high adhesion to most building surfaces: concrete, stone, brick, concrete blocks. 3 days after applying waterproofing, you can start lining the pool bowl with tiles.
The advantage of this material is that it acts as the finishing layer of the pool bowl and gives it a beautiful and aesthetic appearance. The pool after waterproofing works can be used in 3 days.
Packing – a set of 30 kg. (20 kg craft bag 10 kg metal bucket).
Consumption – up to 1.5 kg per m2 in one layer.
We turn to waterproofing materials that protect the pool bowl from the outside:Izoplast B is a bitumen mastic for waterproofing based on an organic solvent with special additives and has high penetrating properties.
Packing – buckets of 22 kg.
Consumption – up to 1 kg per m2 with a thickness of 1 mm.
- Izoplast W-KL is a bitumen–rubber mastic for creating seamless waterproofing coatings. Excellent thixotropic properties of the material allow it to be applied to any inclined and vertical surfaces and allows leveling cracks in the structure up to 5 mm. Before applying the mastic, it is recommended to treat the surface with Izoplast Dysperbent as a primer.
Packing – buckets of 20 kg.
Consumption – up to 1.2 kg per m2 with a thickness of 1 mm.
