Micro concrete Granito Floor (20kg) TEKNO
GRANITO FLOOR micro-concrete is a special compound with high strength characteristics for wear-resistant floors, which includes a fraction of marble chips.
Scope of application
- Creating a decorative coating with many possibilities.
- Creating a solid surface without joints and seams.
- In hospitals, shopping malls, schools, offices, exhibition halls, recreation rooms and places where rubber wheeled vehicles are used.
- For leveling concrete floors and increasing their strength, wear resistance.
- Inside houses, offices, shops, museums, theaters and exhibition halls.
Features and Benefits
- It has excellent adhesion.
- It can be applied to any surface: tile, marble, stone, terrazzo, drywall, concrete, cement, gypsum, etc.
- Does not crack when applied in a thin layer.
- Creates a floor covering with an exclusive, original finish.
- High level of compressive and bending strength.
- It dries quickly, so the next finishing layer can be applied in a very short time.
- Approximately 1 day after application, GRANITO FLOOR can be sanded with diamond grinding discs to obtain a smooth, shiny surface.
Instructions for use
- The application surfaces must be strong, clean, dry and free of foreign substances. The surfaces should not have cracks or other damage. If there are areas in the form of cracks, cavities on the surface, they should be repaired with suitable repair solutions (Teknorep 300 and Teknorep 300EX).
- Concrete, ceramic or natural stone surfaces should be prepared by shot blasting or milling and primed and, where necessary, reinforced with fiberglass mesh.
Mixing: pour the contents of the GRANITO FLOOR bag weighing 20 kg into a container with 5.0-6.0 liters of clean water and mix with a low-speed electric mixer until a homogeneous, fluid, lump-free mixture is formed (at least 3 minutes). Leave on for 2-3 minutes, and before applying, mix the mixture for a few minutes (at least 3 minutes). Prepare as much GRANITO FLOOR solution as you can apply for 15 minutes at a temperature of 23 °C. The pot life of the mixture varies depending on the temperature and decreases with increasing temperature. Apply GRANITO FLOOR in one layer from 5 to 40 mm. Make sure that the material is cast in a uniform continuous layer without interruptions. Thanks to its self-leveling properties, GRANITO FLOOR eliminates all imperfections on the surface.
When applying the product, take into account the deformation seams in the base and form distribution seams at least every 50 m2. Sealing of seams can be performed using a one-component thixotropic polyurethane sealant. Dry polishing with a diamond grinder can be carried out a day after applying the mixture. The resulting surface will be completely smooth and shiny, similar to natural stone.
Application Notes / Restrictions
- Do not add more water to the mixture after GRANITO FLOOR begins to set.
- Do not add lime, cement, gypsum or other binders to the GRANITO FLOOR mixture.
- Do not use GRANITO FLOOR on surfaces subject to moisture build-up.
- Do not use GRANITO FLOOR on wet surfaces.
- Do not use GRANITO FLOOR on metal surfaces.
- Do not use GRANITO FLOOR at temperatures below 0 °C or above +35 ° C.
- The color of the floors made using GRANITO FLOOR may have a different shade. This is a typical feature of cement-based products. Apart from the nature of this product, differences in colors can also be caused by the way the product is applied. The coating must be cast continuously, without long pauses to guarantee a perfect surface.
