TEKNOBOND 500 is a two-component, self-leveling coating based on epoxy resin.
Where it is used:
- Repair shops, garages and loading ramps.
- Multi-level and underground parking.
- It has excellent chemical and mechanical strength.
- Acts as a barrier against moisture and water.
Instructions for use:
- The surface for application must be cleaned of any kind of oil, rust, detergents and other substances that prevent setting.
- The surface must have sufficient compressive strength (at least 25 N/mm2) and a tear strength of at least 1.5 N/mm2.
- The surface must be cleaned using appropriate methods to ensure maximum adhesive strength.
- If there are areas in the form of cracks, cavities on the surface - they should be repaired with the help of convenient cement mixtures Teknorep 300 and Teknorep 300EX.
- After application, the application surface must be protected from direct sunlight, strong wind and high air temperature (above 35 °C).
- After adding component B to component A, mix for 2-3 minutes using a low-speed electric mixer (maximum 400 rpm) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Cleaning of equipment. Immediately after application, the equipment must be cleaned with Tekno solvent.
Application Notes/Limitations:
- Make sure that TEKNOBOND 500 will be applied to a solid non-porous surface. If necessary, apply the TEKNOBOND 300 primer coat twice.
- For the highest quality curing of the material, do not use boundary temperature conditions. Low temperatures slow down the curing process, while high temperatures speed up the curing process. The viability will also vary depending on the temperature.
- If the mixture gets on the skin, it should be washed with water and detergent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of warm water and seek medical help.
